Maria Lock whose family fought in the Frontier Wars, and her convict husband, Robert Lock. Maria Lock (c.1805-1878), daughter of Yarramundi, broke barriers in education and in pursuing Aboriginal rights. Many Dharug people descend from Maria and Robert’s nine surviving children.
