The St Patrick’s College project was a markng of time, a celebration of 180 Years of education and providing an inspiring sculpture for the students of the college. My role as a sculptor is to to bring about a harmonious work that reflects the heart of those that it represents. Through purposeful investigation of historical research, interviews with members of the school community and student collaborations, a library of information is built. From this rich resource the concept is developed, resulting in a clay maquette, then scaled to full size.
